Stallion Books began at a time when there was a need for preserving the rich ligancy of African American children’s books. Stallion Books is committed exclusively to fostering and advancing the written, illustrated, and edited historical and current works of the three legend and three friends. Ashley Bryan, Jan Spivey Gilchrist, and Eloise Greenfield. They have committed their lives to the well being of all children, and especially children of color. Our mission is to first preserve and then advance books of historical significance about and for children of color for all to enjoy.
Stallion Books is a subsidiary of Stallion Enterprises specializing in new, vintage, and collector’s editions of The Three Legends and Three Friends. I’m please to present the largest collection of new, vintage, and collectibles editions of Eloise Greenfield, Jan Spivey Gilchrist and Ashley Bryan. We are embarking on an unparallel commitment to advance and preserve the history of African American book titles. The Three Legends and Three Friends have over a combine 120 years of writing, illustrating, and publishing works of excellence portraying children of color in positive and meaningful roles.
